From the center of Washington Park, head towards the Washington Park Lake. Walk along the path that circles the lake. As you walk, keep the lake on your left side. Continue on this path until you reach the southern end of the lake. At this point, you should see a small road leading out of the park. Follow this road, which is Washington Park Rd. The Henry Johnson Historical Monument is located along this road. It will be on your right-hand side, near the intersection with the road that leads into the park.

If you have a bike, you can take advantage of the bike paths in Washington Park. Start from the entrance at Madison Avenue and bike along the paths that circle the park. Head towards the Washington Park Lake, and circle around it. Once you reach the southern end of the lake, exit the park onto Washington Park Rd. Continue biking along this road until you spot the Henry Johnson Historical Monument on your right.
