Public Bus
From downtown Ithaca, head to the nearest bus stop on State Street. Take the Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) bus #30 towards Buttermilk Falls State Park. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Buttermilk Falls State Park stop. From there, you will see signs directing you to the entrance of the park, which is about a 5-minute walk.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local shops in downtown Ithaca. Head south on Cayuga Street and continue onto State Route 13. Follow the bike lane for about 3 miles until you reach the entrance to Buttermilk Falls State Park. The ride will take around 25-30 minutes, depending on your pace. Upon arrival, lock your bike and proceed to the entrance.

For those who enjoy a longer walk, start from the Ithaca Commons and head south on North Cayuga Street. Continue walking until you reach State Route 13. Follow the pedestrian paths along the road for approximately 2.5 miles. After about an hour of walking, you will arrive at Buttermilk Falls State Park. Look for the park entrance, which is well marked.
