From downtown Ithaca, you can catch the Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) bus route 30, which goes to the Cornell Botanic Gardens. Board the bus at the Ithaca Commons stop (located at the intersection of State Street and Aurora Street). Make sure to check the TCAT schedule for bus times. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the Comstock Knoll Dr stop. From there, walk up Comstock Knoll Dr for about 5 minutes until you reach the entrance to Cornell Botanic Gardens.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk to Cornell Botanic Gardens from downtown Ithaca, start by heading east on State Street. Follow State Street until you reach the intersection with University Avenue. Turn left onto University Avenue and continue walking. After about 20 minutes, you'll come to the entrance of the Cornell campus. Walk straight through the campus, following signs for the Botanic Gardens, which is located at 124 Comstock Knoll Dr. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from downtown Ithaca to Cornell Botanic Gardens. Start at the entrance of the Ithaca Commons and head east on State Street. Turn onto University Avenue, and then follow the bike lanes through the Cornell campus. Make your way to Comstock Knoll Dr, where the gardens are located. The bike ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed.
