Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the village center of Lake Placid, start by heading southwest on Main Street towards the intersection with NY-86. Continue straight until you reach the traffic light at the intersection with Cascade Road (you'll see the Lake Placid Center for the Arts on your right). At the traffic light, turn left onto Cascade Road. Walk along Cascade Road for about 1.5 miles. Experience Outdoors will be on your left at 4948 Cascade Rd, just after you pass the intersection with Old Military Rd.

• Biking

  From the village center, start by biking south on Main Street towards the intersection with NY-86. Turn left at the traffic light onto Cascade Road. Follow Cascade Road for approximately 1.5 miles. Experience Outdoors will be on your left at 4948 Cascade Rd, just after passing Old Military Rd. Be cautious of the traffic, especially during peak tourist hours.

• Public Transport

  For public transport, check the local bus schedule for the Roaming Railroad Trolley, which operates in the summer months. Board the trolley at any designated stop in the village center. Request to be dropped off at the intersection of Cascade Rd and NY-86. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk: head southwest on Cascade Rd for approximately 0.8 miles, and Experience Outdoors will be on your left at 4948 Cascade Rd.
