After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the 'Macks Lane' stop. From there, it is a short walk (about 0.5 miles) up Macks Lane to the entrance of Franny Reese State Park.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local shop in Poughkeepsie. Start by heading to the Hudson River Greenway path along the waterfront. Follow the path northward for about 2 miles, then take the exit towards Macks Lane. Continue straight on Macks Lane for another mile until you reach the entrance of Franny Reese State Park.

For those who enjoy walking, start your journey at the Poughkeepsie Waterfront. Walk north along the Hudson River, following the scenic trail.
