From the Poughkeepsie Train Station, walk to the nearby bus stop at Main St & Market St. Take the Dutchess County Public Transit Bus Route 1 towards the Poughkeepsie Galleria and get off at the stop at 'Hyde Park - Albany Post Rd'. The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site is a short walk from the bus stop. Head southeast on Albany Post Rd for about 0.3 miles, and you will see the entrance on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local shop in Poughkeepsie. Start from the Walkway Over the Hudson, and then follow the Hudson River to the south, taking the scenic roads along the river. Navigate to Albany Post Rd (NY-9) and continue north for approximately 5 miles until you reach the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, which will be on your right.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, start at the Poughkeepsie Train Station. Walk north on Main St until you reach the intersection with Market St. Turn right onto Market St and walk until you reach Albany Post Rd (NY-9). Turn left on Albany Post Rd and continue walking for approximately 4 miles until you arrive at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site. This route will take you through some local neighborhoods and provide a nice view of the Hudson River.
