Walking
From the Poughkeepsie Train Station, exit the building and head east on Main Street. Continue walking for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 9. Cross the street at the crosswalk and follow the signs for the Walkway Over the Hudson. Walk up the ramp to the Walkway, which is a pedestrian bridge that spans the Hudson River. Once you are on the Walkway, enjoy the view and continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Beacon side of the river. After crossing, exit the Walkway and turn left onto Main Street. Follow Main Street until you reach the intersection with Long Dock Road. Turn right onto Long Dock Road and walk about 0.5 miles until you arrive at Scenic Hudson's Long Dock Park.

From Poughkeepsie, take the Metro-North train from the Poughkeepsie Train Station heading toward Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Beacon Station, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. Once you arrive at Beacon Station, exit the station and head south on Main Street. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Long Dock Road. Turn right onto Long Dock Road and walk about 0.5 miles until you arrive at Scenic Hudson's Long Dock Park.

If you're biking from central Poughkeepsie, start on Main Street heading east. After about 0.3 miles, turn right onto the Hudson River Greenway, a bike path that runs alongside the river. Follow the Greenway for approximately 1.8 miles until you arrive at the Walkway Over the Hudson. Cross the Walkway and continue on the Greenway path on the Beacon side.
