    From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers station and take the Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Grand Central Terminal stop. Once you exit the terminal, follow the signs to the 42nd Street subway station and take the 4 or 5 subway train downtown towards Brooklyn or the 6 train towards Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. Get off at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall stop. From there, walk east towards the East River Promenade.

    Catch the Bee-Line Bus #1 or #2 from any bus stop in Yonkers heading towards the Cross County Shopping Center. Transfer to the MTA Bus BxM4C at the Cross County Shopping Center. Take the BxM4C to Manhattan. Once you arrive in Manhattan, get off at the East River Drive stop. Walk towards the East River to find the Promenade.

  • Walking

    If you're near the Yonkers waterfront, walk south along the Hudson River waterfront trail. Follow the path until you reach the George Washington Bridge Park. From there, continue on the path towards the East River, which will take you to the East River Promenade. This is a scenic route that will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
