From the Upper Hutt bus terminal, transfer to Bus Route 110. This bus will take you to Twin Lakes Road. Get off at the stop nearest to Kaitoke Regional Park. From there, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Masterton. Start your journey by heading south on Queen Street, then turn right onto Lincoln Road. Continue straight until you reach the Wairarapa Rail Trail. Follow the trail, which will lead you towards Upper Hutt. Once you reach Upper Hutt, head towards Twin Lakes Road. The park entrance will be on your right. The ride will take approximately 1.5 hours.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk to Kaitoke Regional Park. Start at Masterton's central square on Queen Street. Head out of the city towards the south, following the signs for the Wairarapa Rail Trail. Continue along the trail, which leads you through beautiful countryside. Once you reach Upper Hutt, follow the signs to Twin Lakes Road. The park entrance will be on your right. This journey will take about 5-6 hours on foot, so prepare accordingly.
