From Milford Sound, drive towards the Milford Track car park located at the end of the road. The car park is well signposted. Park your vehicle here as no vehicles are allowed beyond this point. The car park is free to use.

From the Milford Track car park, you will begin your hike on the Milford Track. The track is well-marked and leads you through stunning landscapes. It is approximately 5 kilometers to reach Mintaro Hut, taking around 1.5 to 2 hours to walk. Follow the signs along the track, and enjoy the scenery as you make your way to the hut.
