Walking
If you are starting from the New Plymouth city center, head south on Devon Street West toward the coastal walkway. Continue walking along the walkway until you reach the intersection with Huatoki Walkway. Follow the Huatoki Walkway, which will take you alongside the Huatoki River. Keep walking until you reach the junction with Carrington Street. Turn right onto Carrington Street and continue walking until you reach Whalers Gate. Barrett Domain will be located on your left-hand side, just past the intersection with Barrett Road.

Public Transport
From the New Plymouth Bus Station, take Bus Route 3 (the 'West End' route) towards Westown. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop on Whalers Gate. From the bus stop, walk back a few meters along Whalers Gate. Barrett Domain will be on your right, just past the entrance to the park area.

Biking
Starting from the New Plymouth city center, rent a bike from a local bike rental service. Head south on Devon Street West and follow the coastal cycleway. Continue until you reach the intersection with Huatoki Walkway. Follow the Huatoki Walkway until you reach Carrington Street. Turn right onto Carrington Street and then turn left onto Whalers Gate. Continue straight for a short distance, and Barrett Domain will be on your left.
