Walking
If you're starting from the New Plymouth city center, head towards the coastal area. Begin by walking down Devon Street West until you reach the intersection with St Aubyn Street. Turn left onto St Aubyn Street and continue walking until you reach the coastal pathway at the end of the street. From there, follow the signs towards Port Taranaki. The Coastal Walkway will be clearly marked and will take you along the scenic waterfront, leading you directly to the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway at Ocean View Parade.

If you prefer to use public transport, you can catch a bus from the New Plymouth Bus Station. Look for a bus that heads towards Port Taranaki or the coastal area. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop closest to Ocean View Parade. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs that lead you to the Coastal Walkway. It's a short walk from the bus stop to the walkway entrance.
