Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the New Plymouth city centre, head west on Devon Street West. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. As you walk, you will pass various shops and cafes. When you reach the intersection with Maratahu Street, turn left. Walk for about 300 meters, and you will see the entrance to Recreation Reserve on your right, just before you reach Strandon Beach.

    From the New Plymouth Transport Centre, take the bus that heads towards Strandon. Look for a service that lists stops at Strandon. The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Strandon stop, disembark and walk towards the beach. The Recreation Reserve is located just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop; head north along the beach pathway.
