Walking
If you are starting from the New Plymouth city center, head towards the coast by following Devon Street East until you reach the waterfront. You will see a path leading to the Coastal Walkway. Follow the path south along the coastline. This will take you directly to the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway.

Public Transport
Catch a bus from the New Plymouth Transport Centre located at 4-6 Liardet Street. Look for a bus heading towards Bell Block or Port Taranaki. Get off at the stop closest to the Coastal Walkway, which is near Hakirau Street. From there, walk towards the eastern end side of Bell Block Beach to access the walkway.

Cycling
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local shop in New Plymouth. Start from the city center and ride towards the Coastal Walkway by following the cycle paths along Devon Street East. Continue riding south until you reach the walkway at Bell Block Beach. The pathway is well-marked and safe for cyclists.
