Car
If you are driving from the center of Punakaiki, head north on State Highway 6. After approximately 3 km, you will see a sign for Truman Track on your right. Turn onto Coast Road, and follow it for about 1 km until you reach the parking area at the trailhead. There is no cost for parking.

Public Transportation
Unfortunately, there are limited public transportation options directly to Truman Track. However, you can take a bus from Greymouth to Punakaiki, which operates several times a day. Once in Punakaiki, you can walk to the track. From the Punakaiki visitor center, it’s about a 30-minute walk (2 km) north along State Highway 6 to reach the track entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary.

Starting from the Punakaiki visitor center, head north along the coast road (Coast Road) towards State Highway 6. After about 1 km, you will find the entrance to Truman Track on your right, just past the sign indicating the track.
