If you are driving from the center of Punakaiki, head northwest on State Highway 6. Continue for about 2 kilometers until you see the sign for Punakaiki Swing Bridge. Turn right onto Waikori Road. The bridge is located approximately 10 minutes down this gravel road, and the parking area is just a short walk from the bridge.

From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along State Highway 6 towards the bridge. Be cautious as the highway can be busy, and there are no sidewalks in this area.
