Bus
Start your journey at the Queenstown Bus Station located at 38 Shotover Street. Take the Southland Explorer bus service towards Te Anau. The bus will stop at various scenic locations along the way. Ensure you ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Mavora Lakes turnoff.

Hiking
After getting off the bus at the Mavora Lakes turnoff, continue walking along Mavora Lakes Road. You will be walking along a gravel road with plenty of scenic views. Follow the road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the Mavora Lakes Camping Area - North Lake.

Bike Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Queenstown. After reaching the bus station, take the Southland Explorer bus to the Mavora Lakes turnoff. Once you get off, use your bike to travel the remaining 5 kilometers along Mavora Lakes Road to reach the camping area.
