Car
From Milford Sound, drive along the Milford Road (State Highway 94) towards the Hollyford Track. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Look for signs directing you to the Hollyford Track. There is a car park at the start of the Lake Marian track, which is located on the left side of the road before reaching the Hollyford track entrance.

Public Transport
Take a shuttle service from Milford Sound to the Hollyford Track. These shuttles typically run several times a day and can be booked in advance. Once you arrive at the Hollyford Track, the driver will drop you off at the car park from where the Lake Marian track begins. Please check the local transport schedules for the latest departure times and fares.

Hiking
After parking your car or being dropped off by the shuttle, begin your hike on the Lake Marian Track. The track starts at the car park and is well marked. It will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Lake Marian, depending on your pace. Be prepared for some steep sections and enjoy the stunning scenery along the way.
