Walking
Start at the Queenstown Gardens located near the center of Queenstown. From the gardens, head towards the Queenstown Bay waterfront. Follow the lakeside path heading west, which will take you along the shores of Lake Wakatipu. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the end of the bay, then look for signs directing you to the Glenorchy-Queenstown Road (State Highway 6). This might take about 30 minutes to reach. Once you've reached the road, you can either continue walking along the road (which will take about 45 minutes to reach Seven Mile Point Track) or wait for a shuttle bus heading towards Glenorchy, which generally stops at various scenic points along the way, including the Seven Mile Point Track.

From the center of Queenstown, walk to the nearest bus stop on Camp Street. Catch the Glenorchy bus, which operates several times a day. Inform the driver that you will be getting off at the Seven Mile Point Track. The bus ride typically takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the designated stop, you will see the entrance to the track nearby. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for return trips, as they may not be frequent.
