Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre, head south on Fenton Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Haupapa Street. Turn right onto Haupapa Street and walk towards the lakefront. Follow the path along the lake until you reach the intersection with Hatupatu Drive. Turn left onto Hatupatu Drive, and follow it until you reach Sulphur Point, which will be on your right.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre, take the Rotorua Bus Service on Route 1 towards Ngongotaha. Get off at the stop near the Lakefront Park. From there, walk towards the lake and continue along the waterfront path. Follow the path until you reach Hatupatu Drive, and then turn left. Walk along Hatupatu Drive until you reach Sulphur Point.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bike rental, start from the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre and head south on Fenton Street. Continue to Haupapa Street and turn right.
