If you are staying within Rotorua's city center, you can walk to Waimangu Volcanic Valley. Start from the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre at 1170 Fenton Street and head south on Fenton Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the intersection with Waimangu Road. Turn left onto Waimangu Road and continue for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Waimangu Volcanic Valley; the entrance is on your right.
