If you're driving from Tauranga, take SH2 towards Rotorua. After approximately 60 kilometers, merge onto SH30 towards Rotorua. Continue for about 30 kilometers, then take the exit for Tarawera Road. Follow Tarawera Road for about 10 kilometers, and you will find the Buried Village of Te Wairoa at 1180 Tarawera Road. Look for the entrance sign on your left.
