If you are starting from Invercargill, take State Highway 1 heading north. Continue until you reach the junction with State Highway 6. Turn right onto State Highway 6 and follow it until you reach the town of Te Anau. From Te Anau, take the road towards Milford Sound, which is also known as Milford Road (State Highway 94). After approximately 25 kilometers, you'll need to look for signs directing you to Alice Falls. There will be a small parking area where you can leave your car to start your walk to the falls. The last stretch to the falls will be a short hike, so be prepared with suitable footwear.
