    If you are driving from Invercargill, take State Highway 1 north for about 80 km until you reach the town of Te Anau. Once in Te Anau, follow the signs to Te Anau-Mossburn Highway (State Highway 94). Continue on this highway for approximately 20 km. You will arrive at the South West New Zealand World Heritage Area located at 2050 Te Anau-Mossburn Highway, The Key 9679. There is free parking available on-site.

    From Invercargill, you can take a bus to Te Anau. Several bus services operate daily, such as the InterCity bus. The journey takes around 2 hours. Once in Te Anau, you will need to arrange a taxi or shuttle service to reach the South West New Zealand World Heritage Area, as public transport directly to the location is not available. Expect taxi fares to be around NZD 30-50 for the trip from Te Anau to the heritage area.
