Car

From New Plymouth, take State Highway 3 South towards Hawera. After approximately 35 kilometers, turn left onto Egmont Road, following signs for Egmont National Park. Continue on Egmont Road for about 15 kilometers until you reach the car park at the Wilkies Pools entrance. Parking is available for free.
Public Transportation

Take a bus from New Plymouth to the town of Stratford on the Taranaki Link bus service. Once in Stratford, you will need to take a taxi or arrange for a ride-share service to take you to the entrance of Wilkies Pools, as public transport does not reach the park directly. Expect to spend around NZD 30-50 for the taxi ride, depending on the provider.
Walking
