From New Plymouth, take State Highway 3 South towards Hawera. After approximately 35 kilometers, turn left onto Egmont Road, following signs for Egmont National Park. Continue on Egmont Road for about 15 kilometers until you reach the car park at the Wilkies Pools entrance. Parking is available for free.

Take a bus from New Plymouth to the town of Stratford on the Taranaki Link bus service.
