From the Tauranga City Centre, walk to the nearest bus stop on Willow Street, just outside the Bayfair Shopping Centre. Take the Bay Hopper bus route 2 towards Otumoetai. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at the corner of Poripori Road and Tauriko Road. From there, it’s a short 15-minute walk down Poripori Road to reach Poripori Water Holes at 10 Poripori Road.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental service in the city. Start from the Tauranga waterfront and head towards the CBD, then take the route through Cameron Road heading towards the Tauriko area. Follow the cycle lanes until you reach Poripori Road. Once on Poripori Road, follow it until you reach the destination at 10 Poripori Road, which should take about 30-40 minutes.

Walking
For those who enjoy walking, start at the Tauranga waterfront and make your way towards the Mount Maunganui area. From there, head north along the coast and follow the signs towards Tauriko. It is a long walk of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated. Once you reach Poripori Road, continue until you spot the entrance to the Poripori Water Holes.
