Getting There

    From the Tauranga city center, walk to the nearest bus stop at Willow Street. Catch the Bayhopper bus number 3 towards Welcome Bay. The bus operates frequently, so you won't have to wait long. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Kaitemako Road stop. From there, walk approximately 300 meters down Kaitemako Road. Waipuna Park will be on your left at 25 Kaitemako Road. The park is easily recognizable by its open fields and lush greenery.

    If you are staying closer to the waterfront area or the Mount Maunganui, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards Waipuna Park. Head towards the waterfront and follow the walking path along the harbor towards the city center. From there, make your way to Willow Street and catch the Bayhopper bus number 3 as described above. Alternatively, if you enjoy walking, you can continue along the main roads leading towards Welcome Bay, but this will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
