Getting There

    Begin your journey at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 103 Ardmore Street. From here, head southeast on Ardmore Street toward Camp Hill Road. After approximately 500 meters, turn left onto Camp Hill Road. Continue walking for about 4.5 kilometers. You will notice a sign for Hawea Flat Whitewater Park (The Wave) on your right. Follow this road, and you will reach the park entrance.

  • Biking

    Start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre at 103 Ardmore Street. Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops nearby. From the i-SITE, ride southeast on Ardmore Street, then take a left onto Camp Hill Road. Continue cycling for approximately 4.5 kilometers. The park will be on your right side, and you should see signs for Hawea Flat Whitewater Park (The Wave) as you approach.

  • Public Transport

    From Wanaka, walk to the nearest bus stop on Ardmore Street and catch the Connect Bus service toward Hawea Flat. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes, and you should disembark at the stop closest to Camp Hill Road.
