Walking
From Wanaka, head east on Ardmore Street towards the lake. Continue onto the Wanaka-Mount Aspiring Road (State Highway 84). Follow the road as it curves around the edge of Lake Wanaka. After approximately 10 km, you will reach the junction with Lake Hāwea. Turn left onto Lake Hāwea-Cardrona Road. Continue for about 5 km until you reach Te Araroa Trail. Scotts Beach will be on your right, and you can access it via the trail.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Wanaka and start your journey by riding east on Ardmore Street towards the lake. Follow the Wanaka-Mount Aspiring Road (State Highway 84) along the scenic lakeshore. After around 10 km, turn left onto Lake Hāwea-Cardrona Road. Continue cycling for approximately 5 km, and you'll arrive at the Te Araroa Trail. Scotts Beach will be accessible to your right from the trail.
