    From Wellington's central bus terminal (located on Bunny Street), take the number 1 bus heading towards 'Island Bay'. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Ōwhiro Bay' stop. After getting off the bus, walk down to the coast and turn left onto the coastal path. Follow this path until you reach the entrance to Te Kopahou Reserve.

    If you are starting from the Wellington Waterfront, head southwest towards the city’s main streets. Walk towards Wakefield Street and continue straight until you reach the bus terminal on Bunny Street. From there, follow the bus instructions to Ōwhiro Bay.
