Getting There

  • Bus

    From Wellington city center, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Lambton Quay' and take bus number 3 towards 'Karori Park'. Ensure you check the bus timings at https://www.metlink.org.nz. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Waiapu Road', which is near the intersection with 'Karori Road'. From there, walk up Waiapu Road for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne, located at 53 Waiapu Road.

    If you are coming from the Wellington Botanic Garden, exit the garden and head towards the 'Rugby Street' exit. Walk down Rugby Street until you reach 'Karori Road'. Turn left onto Karori Road and continue walking until you reach 'Waiapu Road'. Turn right onto Waiapu Road, and Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne will be located on your left at 53 Waiapu Road.
