From the Wellington CBD, walk to the nearest bus stop on Lambton Quay. Take the number 3 bus heading towards Karori. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop on Old Karori Road, which is near the intersection with Campbell Street. From there, walk down Old Karori Road for about 10 minutes until you reach 76 Old Karori Road, where the Mrs. Chippy Monument is located.

Turn left onto Old Karori Road and walk for about 15 minutes. The monument will be on your right at 76 Old Karori Road.

For those with bicycles, you can ride from the Wellington CBD. Start by heading towards the waterfront and then follow the cycle path along the waterfront up to the Basin Reserve. From there, take the cycle path that leads to Mount Victoria, and follow the signs to Karori. The ride will take about 45 minutes. Once in Karori, head down to Old Karori Road and look for 76 Old Karori Road where the Mrs. Chippy Monument is located.
