From Wellington city center, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the 'Orongorongo' bus from stops around the Wellington Central Railway Station or from Lambton Quay. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure towards Kelburn. After approximately 15-20 minutes, get off at the 'Upland Road' bus stop. From there, walk up Upland Road for about 5 minutes until you reach the Cable Car Museum at 1A Upland Road.

If you prefer to walk from the city center, start at the Wellington Waterfront and make your way to Lambton Quay. From Lambton Quay, head up the Cable Car lane (near the Wellington Cable Car station). Follow the path upwards for about 10-15 minutes. The Cable Car Museum will be on your left at 1A Upland Road, just a short walk from the cable car station.

You can take the Wellington Cable Car from the Cable Car station located on Lambton Quay. Board the cable car and enjoy the ride up to Kelburn. Once you arrive at the Kelburn Terminal, exit and walk down Upland Road for about 2-3 minutes. The Cable Car Museum will be located at 1A Upland Road, right near the terminal.
