From Wellington's central bus terminal (located at 81-83 Whitmore Street), take the number 3 bus towards 'Karori Park'. Make sure to board the bus that departs frequently. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Waiapu Road' stop. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes up Waiapu Road. Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne will be on your right at 53 Waiapu Road.

Take the cable car to the Kelburn lookout. From there, follow the paths that lead through the Botanical Gardens and head towards Upland Road. Continue down Upland Road, taking a left onto Waiapu Road. Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne is located at 53 Waiapu Road, about a 30-minute walk from the cable car station.
