Walking
From the heart of Te Aro, start your journey on the main street, Courtenay Place. Head towards the southern end of Courtenay Place and turn right onto Cambridge Terrace. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Elizabeth Street. Turn left onto Elizabeth Street, which will lead you toward the Mount Victoria tunnel. Walk through the tunnel; as you exit, you will find yourself on the other side of the hill. Continue straight onto the road, which will lead you to Mount Victoria Lookout.

The bus ride is approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop on the corner of Hataitai Road and Lookout Road. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk up Lookout Road to reach the lookout.
