If you are starting from the Whangarei Town Basin, head southeast towards the Hatea River. Cross the pedestrian bridge towards the Town Basin Marina. Follow the path alongside the river until you reach the intersection with Dent Street. Turn left onto Dent Street and continue straight. After approximately 1 km, Dent Street will merge into Parahaki Road. Continue on Parahaki Road for about 1.5 km until you see signs for William Fraser Memorial Park on your left. Enter the park area and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

From Whangarei City Centre, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Bank Street. Take Bus No. 4 towards Kamo. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the stop on Parahaki Road. Walk back a short distance along Parahaki Road and you will see the entrance to William Fraser Memorial Park on your right. Follow the path into the park to explore.
