From the Whangarei Town Centre, head north on Bank Street towards Rathbone Street. Continue straight onto the Whangarei Town Basin walkway, which will lead you along the beautiful waterfront. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with Lower Dent Street. Turn left onto Lower Dent Street and continue walking. As you walk, keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Parihaka. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach the base of Parihaka. From there, you can follow the path leading up the hill to the summit.

Start at the Whangarei Town Centre and catch the 'Whangarei - Parihaka' bus from the bus stop on Bank Street. The bus service operates regularly throughout the day. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Parihaka' stop. Once you disembark, you'll be right at the base of Parihaka. Follow the walking path that leads to the top of the hill for stunning views.
