Walking
From the center of San Juan del Sur, head northwest towards the beach. Walk along the beach road (Calle La Playa) until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit towards the main road (Carretera San Juan del Sur). Continue walking along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach the junction for Cuajiniquil, look for signs pointing towards Refugio de Vida Silvestre Junquillal. It's about 9 kilometers from this junction. You can enjoy the scenic views along the way.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in San Juan del Sur and head northwest towards the beach. Ride along the beach road (Calle La Playa) until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the exit leading to Carretera San Juan del Sur. Continue biking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction for Cuajiniquil. Follow the signs to Refugio de Vida Silvestre Junquillal, which is roughly 9 kilometers from the junction. Be prepared for some road inclines, and enjoy the ride through the beautiful landscape.

From anywhere in San Juan del Sur, find a local taxi or ask your hotel to arrange one. Inform the driver that you want to go to Refugio de Vida Silvestre Junquillal. The driver will take you along the main road (Carretera San Juan del Sur) towards Cuajiniquil. The ride is about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
