Start at the Fredrikstad City Center. Head southeast towards the Fredrikstad Bridge (Fredrikstad bru). Cross the bridge, and you will see signs for Gammlebyen. Once you cross the bridge, take a right onto Storgata, which will lead you into Gammlebyen. Continue straight until you reach the charming cobblestone streets of Gammlebyen. Follow the signs to Vollgravene, which is located in the park area near the waterfront.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental stations in Fredrikstad. Start your journey from the city center and head towards the waterfront. Take the bike path along the river, enjoying the scenic views. Follow the path signs directing you towards Gammlebyen. Once you reach the area, park your bike and walk towards Vollgravene, which is situated in a park-like setting near the water.

From the Fredrikstad Bus Station, take bus number 3 towards Gammlebyen. The bus will stop near the entrance to Gammlebyen. Once you get off, walk towards the main street, and follow the signs directing you to Vollgravene.
