If you are driving to The Ledges Shelter, start by entering Cuyahoga Valley National Park. From the main entrance on Riverview Road, follow the signs for Truxell Road. Continue on Truxell Road for about 1.5 miles until you reach 701 Truxell Rd, Peninsula, OH 44264. There is parking available near the shelter.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Greater Cleveland RTA bus service to the Brecksville Station. From there, you can catch the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad which stops at several points within the park. Disembark at the Peninsula Depot. From the depot, you can either walk or take a taxi service to The Ledges Shelter, which is approximately 2 miles away. Note that you may need to arrange for a taxi in advance, as rideshare services may not be readily available in the area.

If you are already within Cuyahoga Valley National Park and wish to walk or bike to The Ledges Shelter, you can follow the Ledges Trail. The trailhead is well-marked and is accessible from various points in the park. The hike to the shelter is approximately 1 mile from the main parking area, offering beautiful scenery along the way.
