Car
If you're driving from Portland, OR, take I-84 East. Exit at Washougal and merge onto Evergreen Hwy (WA-14). Continue on Evergreen Hwy for approximately 3 miles. Look for the viewpoints and signs indicating Cape Horn lookout. There is parking available at the lookout area. Be mindful of the traffic and road conditions, especially during inclement weather.
Public Transportation
To reach Cape Horn lookout via public transportation, take the MAX Light Rail from downtown Portland to the Gateway Transit Center. Transfer to C-Tran bus #164 towards Washougal. Get off at the Evergreen Hwy and 24th St stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along the Evergreen Hwy to reach the lookout. Make sure to check bus schedules in advance, as service may vary.
Hiking
If you're in the area and interested in hiking, you can take the Cape Horn Trail. The trailhead is located near the parking area off Evergreen Hwy. The hike is moderately challenging and will lead you to the lookout, providing stunning views along the way.
