If you are driving from Hood River, head west on I-84 W. Take exit 44 toward Cascade Locks. Continue on Cascade Locks Highway, following signs for the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler. After about 4 miles, you will reach 299 SW Portage Rd. The sternwheeler dock will be on your right. Parking is available near the dock, but be aware that there may be a fee for parking.

To reach the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler via public transportation, you can take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus from Hood River. Board the bus at the Hood River City Hall stop and take Route 1 towards Cascade Locks. The bus will take you directly to the Cascade Locks area. Disembark at the Cascade Locks stop, and from there, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to 299 SW Portage Rd. Follow the road signs to the sternwheeler dock.
