If you're traveling by car, start from Portland, OR. Take I-84 East for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 28 for Corbett and turn right onto Historic Columbia River Highway. Continue on this highway for about 5 miles, and you will see signs for Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area. Turn left into the park entrance, and follow the road to the parking area.
Public Transportation
To reach Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area by public transportation, take the MAX Light Rail Blue Line from downtown Portland towards Hillsboro. Get off at the Gateway/NE 99th Ave Station and transfer to the Columbia Gorge Express bus (check the schedule for departure times). The bus will take you east towards the Columbia River Gorge, and you can get off at the stop for Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area. The park entrance is a short walk from the bus stop.
