Getting There

Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Hood River. Head east on Oak St toward 3rd St, then turn left onto 3rd St. Continue onto the Hood River Bridge (crossing into Washington) for beautiful views. After crossing, continue on WA-14 E for about 10 miles. Take the exit onto WA-141 S towards Trout Lake. Follow WA-141 S to its junction with US-30 W. Merge onto US-30 W, then take the exit for OR-35 S. Continue until you reach Air Museum Rd, where you'll find WAAAM on your left at 1600 Air Museum Rd, Hood River, OR 97031.

For public transport, start from the Hood River Hotel and walk to the nearest bus stop for the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus. Check the CAT schedule for the route to Hood River, as some services may have limited hours. Once you arrive in Hood River, you may need to transfer to a taxi or rideshare service to reach WAAAM at 1600 Air Museum Rd, as direct public transport may not be available. Be prepared for potential fares, which can range from $10 to $20 depending on the distance.

For the adventurous, consider cycling to WAAAM. From downtown Hood River, take the scenic Waterfront Trail along the Columbia River, which connects to the scenic routes leading to the museum. This ride is approximately 5 miles and offers stunning views of the river and surrounding landscapes. Make sure to wear a helmet and carry water. Once you reach Air Museum Rd, WAAAM will be located on your right.
