Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from Hood River, Oregon. Head east on I-84 E. Take exit 64 for OR-35 S toward Mount Hood. Merge onto OR-35 S and continue for about 7 miles. As you approach the area, keep an eye out for Eastside Road on your right. Turn right onto Eastside Road and follow the signs for Panorama Point County Park. The park entrance will be on your left after approximately 1 mile. Ensure you have enough fuel as gas stations may be sparse.

• Public Transportation and Walking

  For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Portland to Hood River. You can catch the Columbia Area Transit bus line (Route 660) from the Hood River Transit Center. Once you arrive in Hood River, you may need to use a rideshare service or a taxi to reach Panorama Point County Park, as public transport options are limited to this specific area. The park is about a 15-minute drive from downtown Hood River.

• Biking

  If you're feeling adventurous, biking is also an option. From Hood River, you can take the scenic route along the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. Follow the trail east towards the park. Note that parts of the route may be hilly, so ensure you're adequately prepared. It’s roughly a 10-mile ride from downtown Hood River to the park.
