Walking
Start at the Hood River Waterfront Park. Head east along the waterfront trail, following the signs for the Columbia River Gorge. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with 1st Street. Turn left onto 1st Street and continue until you reach Oak Street. Turn right on Oak Street, which will take you to the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area. Follow the signs for the Lewis and Clark Highway (WA-14) as you walk along the scenic route.
Biking
Rent a bike from one of the local bike shops in Hood River. Start your journey at the Hood River Marina and head west towards the Historic Columbia River Highway. Take the bike path along the highway and follow the signs towards the Columbia River Gorge. You'll eventually reach WA-14. Once on WA-14, continue heading west until you see the signs for Dog Creek Falls. There may be a short walk from the bike path to the falls.
Public Transportation
Check the local bus schedule for the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) service. Take the bus that heads towards White Salmon or Bingen. Get off at the stop closest to the Lewis and Clark Highway (WA-14). From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles along the highway to reach Dog Creek Falls. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the falls.
