Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Gilgit city. Head north on the Karakoram Highway (N-35) towards Hunza Valley. After approximately 2 hours, you'll reach the town of Karimabad. From there, continue on the road towards Ghulkin Gojal. You may need to ask locals for directions, as the road can be winding and less marked. Once you reach Ghulkin, follow the signs or local guidance to Patundas Meadows, which is about a 30-minute drive from Ghulkin. The total journey from Gilgit to Patundas Meadows should take around 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on road conditions.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Patundas Meadows via public transportation, take a bus or van from Gilgit to Karimabad. The fare is usually around PKR 300-500. Once in Karimabad, you can hire a local jeep (usually costs around PKR 1500-2500) or look for a shared taxi to Ghulkin Gojal. Upon reaching Ghulkin, follow local signs or ask for directions to Patundas Meadows, which is about a 30-minute drive from there. The entire trip may take around 5 to 6 hours including waiting times.

• Hiking

  For the more adventurous, you can hike to Patundas Meadows from Ghulkin. The trail is well-marked, and it offers stunning views of the Hunza Valley. The hike takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and it's advisable to carry water and snacks. Ensure that you wear good hiking shoes and be prepared for altitude changes.
