If you're traveling by car, start from Karimabad, the main town in Hunza Valley. Drive north on the KKH (Karakoram Highway) for about 25 kilometers. You will pass through the scenic Ganish village and then reach the entrance to Attabad Lake. Follow the signs for Attabad Lake, and you'll soon arrive at the beautiful lake. There is parking available near the lake.

To reach Attabad Lake via public transport, catch a local minibus or jeep from Karimabad heading towards Gulkhin or Passu. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Attabad Lake. They are familiar with the stop, and you will be dropped off close to the lake's entrance. From there, it's just a short walk to the lakeshore.

If you are already near the lake (for instance, staying in Ganish village), you can walk to Attabad Lake. From Ganish, take the footpath leading towards the lake. It takes about 30-45 minutes to walk down. Follow the direction signs, and enjoy the stunning views along the way. Be cautious of the terrain and wear proper walking shoes.
