Car
From Nanga Parbat Base Camp, head back down to the main road leading towards Gilgit. Once you reach the main road, turn left and follow the road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Gilgit. From Gilgit, you will need to take the Karakoram Highway (KKH) towards Hunza. Continue driving for about 100 kilometers until you reach the picturesque town of Karimabad in Hunza Nagar. From Karimabad, take the road towards Ganish village. Follow the signs as you drive through the beautiful valleys. After about 15 kilometers, you will arrive at Borit Lake. Ensure you have a reliable vehicle and check road conditions, as some areas may be challenging, especially during the monsoon season.
Public Transportation
Start your journey from Nanga Parbat Base Camp to the nearest bus stop. Catch a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Gilgit. This segment will cost you approximately 300 PKR. Once you arrive in Gilgit, transfer to a bus or shared taxi heading to Karimabad, which costs around 500 PKR. In Karimabad, look for local transport options (taxis or jeeps) that can take you to Ganish village. This final leg will cost you about 200 PKR. After reaching Ganish, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to Borit Lake, which is approximately a 4-5 kilometer hike from there.
