Getting There

• Car

  From Leh, take the NH-1D highway toward Kargil. Drive for approximately 100 km until you reach the town of Kargil. Continue on NH-1D for about 130 km until you reach the outskirts of Dras. From Dras, take the road to Uri, which is about 42 km away. The Kaman Post is located near Uri, close to the Line of Control, at the coordinates 34.0881166 latitude and 74.0339852 longitude.   From Leh, take a local bus to Kargil. Buses leave frequently throughout the day and the journey takes around 5-6 hours. Once in Kargil, you can take a shared taxi or another local bus heading toward Dras. After reaching Dras, you will need to hire a taxi to take you to Uri.
